Life moves so slowly at this age. It seems like its been 5 years since we had our last gathering! Brita and I are greatly looking forward to the reunion. The father of one of our classmates died recently and Brita was able to go to the funeral. When she got home, I pulled out the yearbook and was going through the pictures. Brings up lots of memories that are buried deep, but still there.

Also, drove through Ames recently and swung by the high school. The big field I used to walk through on my way to high school, in my hard sole moccasins, even in the snow, and, oh yes, in my bell-bottoms, is now a serious construction site, full of earth-moving vehicles and holes, being prepared for the new school building. Kinda cool, kinda sad.

Can't wait to see everyone again. Well, maybe not everyone. There was the guy who used to punch me in chemistry class, I might not be glad to see him, but the rest of you, I'm happy to see. Until then.....
